photosensitivity warning: the video contains rapidly changing colors and some moments of strobing
the video was made through layering feedback loops, filmed by pointing my phone at the tv while screen mirroring, and moving the phone slightly to create visual ripples. i inverted the phone screen colors in accessibility settings, but this doesn’t apply to the video output, causing the back-and-forth of white and black lines (created by the edges of the tv). all the colors you see are distortion from this process being amplified. for additional shapes I held a wire head massager and bamboo shoot in between the phone and the tv. transparent overlays and transitions were added in editing.
